The Springbok was one species I saw almost every day during my travels around Namibia.  Both the males and females have horns.  Their build is delicate and graceful, their coloring a striking blend of whites and browns, and while they spend most of their time wandering and grazing, either individually or in small herds, they can run remarkably fast as well as jump straight into the air as if there were springs in their hooves.

They are one of several African grazers who can get all their hydration needs met by the plants they eat.  Supposedly some springboks go their entire lives without actually drinking water.
