Baby Among Daffodils

Happy first day of Spring to my readers in the northern hemisphere!  Wishing everyone warmth and sunshine and the appropriate amount of rain for your region.  Go take a hike, ride a bike, do some late season skiing or snowboarding, plant a garden or start some seedlings or maybe just grow some herbs in your kitchen window.  Take a walk in a park or botanical garden or arboretum, and if it’s still too cold for flowers where you live, buy yourself a bouquet…

Crocuses, hyacinths, paperwhites, lilies (careful where you put the lilies as they are very toxic to our companion animals!) irises or even daffodils will do.

Celebrate the lengthening days and the shortening nights and the gradual warming of the earth.

Keep your eyes open for birds that may be beginning to migrate.

And by all means, make it a priority to spend some quality time with your little ones.  Read a book together amid the daffodils.  Remember, they’re only young once!
