Sow and cub grazing

A grizzly sow and her cub graze together in a sedge meadow.  Cubs will stay with their mothers and nurse for two or even three years, but they also eat what she eats.

  1. I’m liking all the bears on your blog. Left to my inclination, I would post bears all the time but then I would run out.

    • Hi Lyle,

I probably have far fewer opportunities to observe and shoot bears than you do. All of the grizzly images are from a few days spent in Alaska last month.

But they are great fun to watch and photograph, aren’t they?

      • Absolutely. My bear shots are all from trips that seem too short. But that also makes it special.
